People looking to build their own home in the district will be helped by a £90,000 Government grant.
The money, announced yesterday, is part of £550,000 in funding to 11 local authorities across the UK as part of the Government’s Right-To-Build scheme.
Cllr Debbie Pickford, Cherwell District Council’s lead member for housing and regeneration, said the council would use the money to develop a register of builders and developers for its Build! and Graven Hills projects.
Both aim to provide more affordable housing and enable individuals to get on the property ladder.
