It is astonishing how little regard some criminals have for their fellow men and women.
Metal is now such a valuable commodity that it is being stolen left, right and centre, for disposal on the black market.
But can't these idiot thieves see what danger they are causing by removing metal grilles from roads?
The consequences to innocent road users don't bear thinking about.
