I would like to reply to Peter Collett's letter (Oxford Mail, October 27).
I don't know what part of Florence Park at Cowley, Oxford, he lived in, but I moved there in 1954 and experienced flooding almost from day one.
It was this flooding that persuaded the council to concrete the Boundary Brook from Campbell Road to the river.
It is this brook and the brook in Florence Park that overflow and all the water flows into our road, gardens and property.
Donnington School has now been replaced with a large care home and a monstrosity of a school has been built on the old allotment site at the bottom of Campbell Road which was classed as a flood plain.
