TWO Oxfordshire care providers have been rated as outstanding by the national health watchdog following recent inspections.
Home care provider Caretree Limited, based near Abingdon, and the Grange Care Centre which provides dementia care near Faringdon have both given the highest rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Inspectors visited the offices of Caretree Limited in Milton Hill last October saying in their report: "People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible."
The service was rated 'outstanding' across all five inspection measures; safety; effective; caring; responsive and well-led.
The CQC inspection team visited to the Grange Care Centre in Stanford in the Vale in November saying of the 49-bed service: "Staff had ample time to support individuals in a meaningful way and to provide compassionate care. This was because of high staff numbers and a range of staff experiences to provide a holistic approach to care."
The home was rated as 'good' in the safe and effective measures, while inspectors rated it 'outstanding' in the caring, responsive and well-led measures.
Both services had also been rated outstanding in 2016.
