THE man who inspired the naming of Oxford Brookes University will go under the spotlight at a university talk by historian and author Bryan Brown.
Mr Brown will talk about his book John Henry Brookes: The Man Who Inspired a University about the influential figure of the book's title.
He will cover his early life and how his views, arts and crafts career helped create the Headington campus of the university, which was named in his honour.
The event will be held at Oxford's Museum on March 22 at 6pm.
Tickets cost £4.
