A WOMAN who has written the biographies of Samuel Pepys, Charles Dickens and Mary Wollstonecraft is coming to Oxford with a new book finally telling her own story.
Claire Tomalin, the author of two Whitbread Award winning novels, will speak in Blackwell's Broad Street store about A Life of My Own on Tuesday from 7pm.
She sets her own life in a wider cultural and political context, vividly and frankly portraying the social pressures on a woman in the 50s and 60s.
Tickets for the event are £5 and are available via the shop's website.
