BURGLARS smashed glass in a door to break into a house in Kidlington.
Thames Valley Police said the thieves were disturbed on Monday afternoon at the home in Oxford Road, near the Sainsbury’s store and fled empty-handed.
Officers said a ‘vigilant neighbour’ disturbed the thieves as they searched the home for valuables.
Anyone with information about the break-in, which happened at 1.30pm, is asked to contact police on 101.
Officers have increased patrols in the area.
