HUNDREDS attended a rally calling for Oxford University to improve its access policy on Friday.
Decolonise Oxford Now was attended by about 250 people in Radcliffe Square and was triggered after information requested by MP David Lammy showed a lack of diversity.
Labour city councillor Dan Iley-Williamson said: “Historically, the role of Oxford University was to be a training ground for the establishment.
“When most of the students at the university come from private schools and very privileged backgrounds, it can hardly be denied that it still plays this role.”
