A BICESTER care home has been rated overall as ‘good’ by a health watchdog.
Inspectors from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) found ‘ the atmosphere was open and friendly’ at Wyndham Hall Care Home.
The home, in Skimmingdish Lane, provides accommodation for up to 60 people who require nursing or personal care, many of who are living with dementia.
The unannounced inspection took place in September and the CQC found that: “People were supported by staff who were knowledgeable about people’s needs and provided support with compassion and kindness.”
The report also said: “Where risks to people had been identified, risk assessments were in place and action had been taken to manage the risks.
“Staff were aware of people’s needs and followed guidance to keep them safe.
“People received their medicines as prescribed.”
