THREE Oxfordshire brothers are celebrating after winning a place in the semi-finals of a new BBC cookery show.
The Pigott brothers, Matt, Ed and Sam, grew up in Banbury and all went to Bloxham School in North Oxfordshire.
They were competing on the Big Family Cooking Showdown in a programme that aired on Monday night.
Their ambitious menu which included a main course of dry spiced venison with wild mushroom and spinach, Bombay boulangere potatoes and slow cooked vension samosa impressed the judges and helped them to win their round against the Hilliards from West Sussex.
Proud dad Nick - the head of geography at Bloxham - insists that they learnt it all from him.
