OXFORD author James Attlee, who wrote a book about the Cowley Road, is to give a talk about his latest work.

He will be at Blackwell’s in Broad Street on Wednesday, November 8 to discuss his latest publication, Guernica: Painting the End of the World.

In the book the author explores artistic influences on Picasso and the historical context of the Spanish Civil War.

Mr Attlee’s 2007 book Isolarion took a snapshot of the Cowley Road.

The £5 talk takes place at Blackwell’s between 7pm and 8pm.
