TRAINING sessions are to be delivered to many police officers in the Thames Valley who are ‘unaware’ of post-incident procedures (PIP), the Police Federation has said.
The procedure is required if a member of the public is killed or seriously injured.
PC Craig O’Leary, federation chairman said officers were ‘simply not aware’ of what could ‘lie ahead’
Three quarters of police officers said they do not know what is involved in PIP, he said, following a poll.
“It is crazy,” he added.
