LABOUR MP Rachel Reeves will speak in Oxford tomorrow about her new book.
The Leeds West representative will be discussing Alice in Westminster: The Political Life of Alice Bacon which explores the life of one of the twentieth-century's most remarkable female politicians.
Starting her career by being elected as the Labour MP for Leeds North East in 1945, Alice Bacon's political career spanned some of the most momentous decades in Britain's postwar history, with her being an integral part in some of the most significant social, educational and political changes which the country has ever witnessed.
The event will take place at Blackwell's Broad Street store. It starts at 7pm and tickets are £5. They can be purchased via the book shop's website.
