THE funeral of radical Oxford poet Heathcote Williams will take place in Jericho this week.
The playwright and TV and film star, who died earlier this month aged 75, lived in the area for much his later life and his funeral will be held at St Barnabas Church.
The Jericho Wharf Trust invited friends and supporters to his funeral as Mr Williams played a crucial role in the Save the Boatyard campaign.
He set up the Jericho Living Heritage Trust to defend Jericho from damaging development.
His last volume of poetry about President of the United States Donald Trump, was published in January.
The funeral starts at 3pm on Friday.
