PARISH councillors have ‘strongly objected’ to plans to turn farmland into a carpark for lorries.
Trevor Kent has applied for planning permission to convert agricultural land north of Grove into an ‘HGV parking compound’.
The field, part of Bradfield Grove Farm west of the A338, is owned by the Cottrell family.
Villagers raised concerns about the safety of sending HGVs down narrow passing points and Grove Parish Council has now said it strongly objects to the plan.
Vale of White Horse District Council will make a final decision in April.
