A CAROL service in Witney will see an appearance from the town's mayor as Ebeneezer Scrooge.
The event -which will be held at St Mary's Church, in Church Green, on Friday, December 16 - will feature Witney Town Band and the West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts.
A collection for the mayor's charity DITTO, which supports vulnerable and disabled people, will take place during the service. Donations of toiletries for Witney Besom are also welcome.
The service is themed around Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol.
