A NEW Local Plan for Vale of White Horse District Council is due to be agreed by council leaders at a meeting on Wednesday, December 14.

The plan sets out where the main housing sites around the district should be, as well as identifying the jobs, roads, schools and other infrastructure that will be needed to support housing growth.

Matthew Barber, leader of Vale of White Horse District Council said: "We have received a draft report from the Planning Inspector into the Vale's Local Plan for fact-checking purposes.

"The contents of the report itself remain confidential until the final version is released by the inspector.

"We are still on track to adopt the Local Plan at our council meeting on December 14."

The meeting will take place at The Beacon in Wantage at 7pm.
