A TEAM of pupils from Abingdon School recorded a strong result in an international maths challenge.

Ben Wilson, Yuan Han Li, Harry Lei and Ivan Leung made up the school's team in the Princeton University Maths Competition.

They were given one week to solve a host of university-level maths problems, focusing on data encryption.

They then posted their entries in and finished in sixth place, alongside schools in the top 10 from Romania, United States, China, Hong Hong, Indonesia and Australia.
