A PUB in Witney is preparing to reopen its doors after its first refurbishment since opening five years ago.

The Blue Boar, based in an 18th century building in the town’s market square, has undergone a complete makeover, and has a brand new wood-burning pizza oven.

General manager Giancarlo Ungaro said: “The Blue Boar is an old building and needs lots of love and time to maintain her good looks.

“After five years and hundreds of thousands of visitors, we felt that she needed some fresh paint, new signs, and a general sprucing up."

The pub will reopen on Thursday (1).
