BLENHEIM Palace has announced the appointment of a new chief executive.
Dominic Hare, who is currently finance director at the Oxfordshire stately home, will take over from John Hoy at the beginning of next year.
He will be assisted in the new role by Roger File, Blenheim’s chief operating officer and property director, and operations director Heather Carter.
A qualified chartered accountant, Mr Hare spent 10 years in corporate finance and investment banking, specialising in the media and telecoms sector before taking on the role of finance director for Blenheim Palace in 2003.
Mr Hare said he was ‘humbled’ to be taking over from John Hoy.
He added: “I am looking forward to building on the success John has achieved for the business and exploring the new opportunities which lie ahead”
Current chief executive Mr Hoy is moving on to take up a new role leading the national rural practice of property consultancy Bidwells.
