FOOTBALL fans in Sutton Courtenay have been urged to stop swearing in earshot of children.
The village's parish council has appealed in the local newsletter to banish foul language used by some adults watching matches at the recreation ground.
It said it received complaints that children at the nearby play area have been hearing 'obscene and profane language' and pleaded with the offenders to 'be considerate', adding: "Hearing a string of expletives is inappropriate and offensive to many."
