POPPY supporters in Marcham raised thousands of pounds for the military community.
The village shop announced on its Facebook page that residents and those in Garford, Tubney and Frilford donated a total of £5,758 during this year's poppy appeal for the Royal British Legion.
It said the total is up by £1,000 on last year and thanked volunteers who went door-to-door collecting cash for the paper poppies and special pins, and businesses who allowed collection boxes to be placed in their premises.
