Dr Maria Bruna, a mathematician at St John's College, Oxford, came top in this year's science category.
The awards, now in their 11th year, aim to celebrate the 'inspirational rising female stars of today and tomorrow' across business, culture, media and technology.

She was the first mathematician to be awarded a L’Oréal-UNESCO UK and Ireland For Women in Science Fellowship for her work on interacting particles.
