A LITTLE-known local connection to a historical assassination will be revealed in Abingdon.

Oxford University tutor Chris Danziger will speak at Stonehill House to mark almost 100 years since Russian peasant Rasputin was killed.

The lecture day on Saturday runs from 11am until 5pm at a cost of £60 including lunch and afternoon tea, and promises to unveil a 'vital' role played by the university ahead of his death.

Former University College student Prince Felix Yusupov helped to plot the murder.
