CHRISTMAS cheer will be sprinkled across Cowley when a beauty queen makes a special trip to the area this weekend.
Sharon Gaffka, who was crowned Miss Oxfordshire International 2016, will illuminate Templars Square Shopping Centre on Saturday.
She will switch on the centre's Christmas lights at 4pm, joined by Father Christmas, who will be handing out free gifts to youngsters visiting him.
The free festivities, which begin at midday, include face painting, bauble decorating and hours of toe-tapping musical entertainment.
Much-loved children's characters Peppa Pig and her brother George are also set to make an appearance.
