WORK on a 2.2km hospital pipeline linking the John Radcliffe and Churchill Hospitals gets underway in just over one week.

The major project which is expected to cut emissions and save the hospitals money on heating bills will affect residential roads in the Headington area throughout its 19-week duration.

The initial construction work is set to commence on Monday November 28 and last until May 19.

Contractors Vital Energi is using three dig teams for the project and it is expected that access to affected homes will be blocked for up to three weeks at a time while work is ongoing.
