A SERVICE to commemorate the centenary of the end of Battle of the Somme will be held in Witney today.
Town mayor Chris Holliday will be joined in the Market Square by the Local Reserve Forces Cadet Association, from 7pm to 8pm.
The commemorative service will honour those who lost their lives in the battle, which ended a century ago.
People will gather in the foyer of the Corn Exchange at 6.45pm, and refreshments will be served there after the service.
