ADVERTS highlighting the importance of good mental health are being seen across Oxfordshire.

The adverts commissioned by the county council are part of the We All Matter campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the resources and information available for residents to manage their mental health.

The campaign features people from across the county, with portraits taken by Oxford-based photographer Asia Bochenek.

The adverts have been adapted from a previous mental wellbeing campaign originally run by the the council in 2014.

Hilary Hibbert-Biles, cabinet member for public health, said: "Everyone can find their mental health and wellbeing affected at times, but consistent stress and strain will take its toll and one in four of us will experience mental ill-health."

The campaign directs people to local charity Oxfordshire Mind, a member of the Oxfordshire Mental Health Partnership, which runs a helpline for people looking for support and advice.

Dan Knowles, chief executive of Oxfordshire Mind, said: "All too often people facing challenges with their mental health don’t know who to speak to.

"Oxfordshire Mind exists to offer support and respect to anyone suffering a mental health challenge – no matter how big or small – and our team is ready to help."

If you or someone you know is finding it difficult to cope contact Oxfordshire Mind’s information service on 01865 247788, Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 4.30pm, or email them on info@oxfordshiremind.org.uk
