YOUNG people from a charity have paid thanks to Bicester Village for helping set up a street festival in the town.

OYAP Trust staged a big street dance with a number of workshops to help bring more culture to Bicester's high street.

Large crowds gathered to watch acts such as Motionhouse Dance at the event at the end of October.

OYAP director Helen Le Brocq said: "I would like to acknowledge and thank our supporters who made this project possible.

"Bicester Village kindly sponsored the event, and the Cherwell Bicester Garden Town Team also supported the project with a grant.

"The Mill Arts Centre in Banbury collaborated with us to bring these exciting companies to the heart of Bicester, with the technical side of things covered with a very impressive sound system.

"Our thanks also go to The Methodist Church, who opened up their facilities for us, and for our volunteers.

"It was a truly memorable event, and we were so grateful for the audience for coming to watch and that the weather stayed fair."

OYAP works with children right across the county on a number of art projects to offer skills outside those taught in schools.
