THE Footsteps Centre in Dorchester is celebrating the completion of 75,000 hours of physiotherapy to disabled children and its supporting charity Footsteps Foundation has raised over £1.2 million to date.

The centre provides intensive physiotherapy including 'spider' therapy, which features a series of elastic ropes.

There is also traditional therapeutic equipment including balls, trampolines and ladders and other state-of-the art facilities.

Manager of the Footsteps Centre Kirsty Dawson said: "We have numerous families who have been told that their child will never walk, but the power of intensive physiotherapy, expert therapists, and amazing equipment, in conjunction with a child-friendly atmosphere, has worked wonders for scores of children and helped them to achieve their potential."

The centre was established in Warborough in 2004 before moving to its current base in Dorchester.
