NOISY building works at Sandford Hydro should stop by next week.
Villagers in Kennington and Sandford-on-Thames have endured the clamour of piling works at Sandford Lock, where Low Carbon Hub is leading a project to create a hydroelectric plant.
The group issued a note to residents on its website that said: "Huge apologies to everyone affected by the noise. We're sorry, but it's work that has to be done."
It said piling work is due to finish next week.
The hydro should eventually generate enough energy to power 450 households.
