A NEW village hall chairman has pleaded with people not to bring their own alcoholic drinks.
Graham Garner, who took over running Hanney War Memorial Hall from Nigel Kilbey this year, made this appeal in a statement.
He reminded villagers that the hall is a registered charity, but went on: "It is therefore very disappointing that a small number of guests... believe it is acceptable to bring their own alcoholic drinks into the Hall, jeopardising our drinks licence and importantly denying the hall, a charity, of essential funding."
