Crufts is back again this year as many dogs prepare to show off their skills at the popular dog show.
As dog owners hope their dogs will impress, you might be wondering who won the competition in 2023.
The Best in Show competition started in 1928 and a Greyhound Primley Sceptre became the first champion, the Crufts website explains.

Which dog won the Best in Show competition in 2023?
Since the first Best in Show competition, there have been 78 winners with 43 different breeds being crowned.
The Best in Show competition was temporarily paused between 1940 and 1947 due to World War II but it returned and still takes place today, remaining the most prestigious award in dog showing, Crufts explains.
In 2023, Orca the Lagotto Romagnolo from Croatia won the Best in Show competition in the gundog group on the fourth day of the competition with handler Javier Gonzalez Mendikote.
Orca’s owners are Mrs S Zdunić Šinković and Mr A Lucin.

When is Crufts taking place in 2024?
Crufts is taking place at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre (NEC) and will start on Thursday, March 7 and end on Sunday, March 10 this year.
A variety of dog breeds will be involved in the event, including Dalmatians to Chow Chows.
Channel 4 and More4 will be broadcasting the event on TV so you can tune in from home.
