The latest celestial event taking place in the UK will be the appearance of the Beaver Moon or November full moon.

It is called the Beaver Moon as it is around this time of year that beavers settle into their lodges, having stored up food for a long winter ahead of them.

Names of all the full moons link back to early Native American, Colonial American, and European folklore, according to the Almanac website.

As part of this event, the moon is set to appear to have a blood-red colour in the night sky, although that won't be visible in the UK.

Those in North and Central America, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand will be able to see that as part of a lunar eclipse.

When to watch the Beaver Moon in the UK

According to Science Focus, the best time to see the Beaver Moon in the UK will be early in the morning of Tuesday, November 8.

The best time to see it will be at around 6am, as the "virtually-full" moon will "linger low on the horizon in a pre-dawn sky, before slipping down just before the Sun rises at 7:06am."

However, that won't be the last you can see it, as a "virtually-full" moon will rise again after sunset at approximately 4.21pm.
