After two years of being cooped up in tiny overpriced apartments with no outdoor space, many have decided to swap city life for country life.
With millennials, in particular, fleeing London and discovering a new start in the Cotswolds and Cornwall.
Now 12 new postcodes have been named the best hotspots for people to move to in 2022.
From Swansea, Somerset, and Nottingham just being a few to make the list, check to see if your area is a new hotspot.
SA3, Mumbles, Swansea
Mumbles is home to some stunning views and soaring property prices, it's even being called the Hamptons of Wales.
With a thriving food scene that has something for everyone's taste buds, including bistro Môr if you fancy experiencing fine dining or there's the Fower Seafood Hut to taste morning-caught calamari and popular cockle popcorn.
You can also expect oyster bars to appear across Mumbles as last summer saw over four million oysters added to the water off Mumbles.
Langland Bay is the perfect place to go for a walk and grab snaps of the green and white beach huts.
Plus further down into Gower peninsula you can meet the suffer crowd and even meet some dolphins.
NG1, Hockley, Nottingham
Many people claim that Nottingham has been one of England's most underrated cities.
Hockley could be described as the Shoreditch of the midlands, with an array of street art including graffiti murals covering the walls of the neighborhood.
With the best beers and DJs based in indie spot Jamecafe, which uses the best independent breweries including local Liquid Light Brewing Company.
Lost Property is a great place to grab some cocktails, and below the bar, there's the secret sister bar the Lost Caves that is built in an actual cave, thanks to Nottingham having the UK's biggest network of caves.
M4, Ancoats, Manchester
If you like to party Ancoats is the place for you, with clubs that stay open till 3am and restaurants that serve world-famous pizza in Rudy's.
Plus there's hip hop-themed chippy, Hip Hop Chip Shop, that will keep the night going with its music.
Ancoats is also home to potentially the coolest corner shop in the country, Ancoats General Store, not only does it sell milk and bread but it hosts parties with a fully licensed bar.
NE67, Beadnell, Northumberland
Home to sprawling landscapes and having the lowest light-pollution levels in the UK, Northumberland is an eco haven.
None more so than Beadnell, a tiny coastal village with less than 500 residents, that sees peace and quiet during the off-season.
The off the grid destination has barely any phone reception and is the perfect place to star-gaze with dark open skies.
You can even travel to the nearby Farne Islands that are home to over 43,000 pairs of reading puffins.
TA13, South Petherton, Somerset
South Petherton is home to the stylish members of the 'posh-well brigade' with a population of less than 5,000.
The village has an array of restaurants including Holm which has the chef from the critically acclaimed South London hotspot Levan.
You can also pick up organic goods from the Trading Post Farm Show which is less farm shop and more Fortnum and Masons.
DT7, Lyme Regis, Dorset
A-listers have been descending to the sandy area, with the town's harbour, the Cobb, becoming the answer to the areas Hollywood Boulevard.
It's even seen megastar Timothée Chalamet being spotted filming for the new film Willy Wonka in recent months.
Kate Winslet and Saoirse Ronan were spotted filming their 2020 film Ammonite which was also set in the area.
It's also home to the restaurant Oyster & Fish House that is headed by celebrity chef Mark Hix.
PO40, Freshwater, Isle of Wight
The area of Freshwater has become a destination for Londoners wanting to get some fresh air.
With beachfront restaurant Hut being the most popular spot and even a visit from Benedict Cumberbatch.
If you happen to have a helicopter on hand you can arrive by it or a private Rib and even one of the Hut Trucks vintage 4x4.
The pebbled beach of Colwell Bay is the perfect place to stretch your legs and take pictures of the colour huts.
IV26, Tanera Mòr, the Inner Hebrides
The remote island off the Coigach peninsula is in the runnings to be 2022 best holiday destination.
In 2014 the island was officially uninhabited but when hedge fund manager Ian Wace bought it for £1.7 million in 2017, its planed changed to become a luxury retreat.
With plans of a cinema being built in a converted vintage steamship and much more.
L39, Aughton, Lancashire
Aughton is the UK's gourmet destination with Mark Birchall's two-Michelin-starred restaurants, Moor Hall, and much more.
Moor Hall was even voted Britian's best restaurant for a second year at the National Restaurant awards.
The old market town of Clitheroe is great for food to with lunch at Freemasons at Wiswell or Northcote for a five-course meal by celebrity chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen's.
BN1, Brighton, Sussex
Brighton has made a comeback, as the new Soho House sets to open on the seafront in Kemptown.
Whilst in the city center you can to Due South for a small plate and even visit Burnt Orange bar for a few cocktails.
Along with its range of unique and independent shops and vibrant nightlife, Brighton is the perfect place for a new start.
TQ13, Widecombe in the Moor, Devon
The Dartmoor railway line has opened up again after 50 years out of use, allowing the Dartmoor National Park to be easier to explore.
You can hire a care nearby and make your way through the village of Widecombe in the Moor.
Plus, if you're a fan of hikes, you can experience the very muddy but popular 18-mile hike.
BT18, Holywood, Co Down
Based on Northern Ireland's 'Gold Coast', Holywood is a beautiful place with beaches and much more.
Coffee shops galore and award-winning restaurants too, including Noble where Star Wars creator Georg Lucas has been spotted.
