A £17M scheme to alleviate floods in Banbury has been completed.
The scheme will reduce the flood risk to more than 500 properties in the Banbury area, including the railway station and Banbury United Football Club.
The town was hit by severe floods in 1998, affecting 160 homes and businesses, and again in July 2007, when the River Cherwell burst its banks.
The Environment Agency has been working on a comprehensive scheme to protect properties.
