CORONATION Street stars Jack P. Shepherd and Ryan Thomas will switch on this year’s Christmas lights in Banbury.
The actors – who play David Platt and Jason Grimshaw – will be the stars of the show at the event on Sunday, November 25.
They will help switch on the lights on a stage outside the Town Hall in Bridge Street following three-and-a-half hours of entertainment.
The show will be hosted by Banbury Sound breakfast presenter Kirsty Leahy and Radio Horton’s Stewart Green.
First on, at 2.10pm, will be Brackley’s Jenna Hone, who won Banbury Sound’s Search for a Christmas Star contest to sing at the event.
The singer was chosen from auditions held at the Town Hall on Wednesday, October 10.
The music will continue with Banbury Rock Choir, rock bands Dance a la Plage and Transmission and Robbie Williams tribute act Paul Reason.
The event is being organised by Banbury Town Council.
