HEAVY rain overnight has caused flooding and road closures in areas of Oxfordshire.
Drivers are warned there is surface water on the A34 northbound at the A423 southern bypass road at the Hinksey Hill Interchange on the exit slip road, which is under about a foot of water.
The A415 Frilford Road at Marcham is closed both ways due to flooding at A338.
The A4074 at Nuneham Courtenay has reopened following earlier flooding and surface water has subsided at Baldon Lane.
The B4017 Cumnor Road is closed both ways closed due to flooding between Oxford Road at Cumnor and B4044 Oxford Road at Farmoor.
There is flooding and surface water on Grove Park Drive both ways between A338 and A417 Port Way.
Dunmore Road in Abingdon is closed in both directions due to flooding around Langley Road and Wendlebury Road in Wendlebury is closed both ways due to flooding around Church Lane.
A number of local rivers have also been put on orange alert by the Environment Agency, that means flooding is possible and warns residents to be on alert.
They are the River Thame from Marsworth to Dorchester including Thame, Shabbington; the River Ock from Watchfield to Abingdon including, Stanford in the Vale, Charney Bassett, Lyford and Garford, and also the Letcombe Brook at Wantage, Grove and East Hanney.
River Ray and its tributaries from Shipton Lee to Islip, including Ludgershall, Blackthorn and Murcott are also on alert.
