A 20-year-old man who had sex with an underage teenage girl has been jailed.
Jye Holland admitted four counts of sexual activity with a female under 16.
He was sent to prison for 15 months at Oxford Crown Court on Friday.
Holland of Underhill, Moulsford, near Wallingford, met up with the girl at Abingdon’s Michaelmas Fair and the pair also chatted on Facebook.
They went on to have sex in parks in southern Oxfordshire and the victim’s garden during the brief relationship.
Holland, who was 19 at the time, had unprotected sex with the girl once after claiming he was infertile.
Rachel Drake, prosecuting, said the affair had caused the girl’s relationship with her family to suffer, along with her school work.
She added: “Her behaviour was changing, she was withdrawn, she was obstructive, rude and unpleasant.
“These offences have had an effect on her ability to concentrate on her education.”
Holland, who had a girlfriend and is a former Larkmead School pupil, was arrested on November 24 last year after the girl told her family about their encounters.
Claire Fraser, defending, said: “He can stand back now and say what he did was wrong.”
Judge Patrick Eccles said: “The harm which has been caused is far from trivial.”
