THOUSANDS of people have run through the streets of Oxford in the city's half marathon.
About 4,200 runners are taking part in the race which started and ends at the Kassam Stadium in Greater Leys.
The first man home was 27-year-old David Bruce of Temple Cowley in a time of 1h 8mins 34secs.
The first female runner to finish was Sophie Carter, 33, of Woodstock, posting a time of 1h 19mins 41secs.
Many more fun runners are still on the route.
Hundreds of supporters have gathered at the Kassam Stadium to cheer all the competitors home.
Didcot residents John Eddery and Clare Atkins dressed as Where's Wally for the race.
Mr Eddery, 33, said: "We did it last year. We're running to raise money, have a good time and make ourselves look silly in the process. We love doing it."
Magdalena Zajacak, 33, was in the crowd to cheer on her husband Martin, also 33.
She said: "It's his second Oxford Half Marathon. He does it because he likes it. It's a nice day for it."
The Oxford Half Marathon is in aid of Helen and Douglas House hospice and is supported by the Oxford Mail.
Jo Mitchell, head of fundraising at Helen and Douglas house, was among the volunteer marshalls on Magadalen Bridge.
She said: "We're thrilled to be the charity partners.
"There was a three-line-whip for all hands on deck and it's a stunning morning."
