TWELVE men have been arrested following a brawl in Oxford’s Gloucester Green in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called to the fight, which involved 10 to 15 people, at about 4.10am. The square was still cordoned off this morning.
Three men in their early 20s were taken to the John Radcliffe for treatment. Two remain in hospital, one in a serious but stable condition.
Twelve men were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and are in police custody.
Det Insp Steve Duffy, leading the investigation, said: “Although we are in the early stages of the investigation, we have made a number of arrests already and will continue to arrest anyone we believe to be involved in this morning’s disorder.
“It was still fairly busy at the time of the fight and I am sure there are people who saw what happened, and have not yet spoken to the police."
