l I would like to thank all involved in making Against Breast Cancer’s Witney in the Pink Day so special again this year.
The shop windows all looked fantastic – thanks for such a great effort with the displays.
The town looked great and the atmosphere was really buzzing thanks to all the entertainers who gave up their time.
Thanks also to Laughing Stock for donating the balloons, John Wharton who donated the helium and Saira Khan for opening the event on October 6.
We raised more than £5,000 on the day and money is still coming in. All money raised goes to fund the Diet and Lifestyle Study, taking place in 56 hospitals across the UK, including Oxford’s Churchill Hospital.
The ultimate aim is to develop a vaccine against breast cancer. This work is being carried out by the Against Breast Cancer research team at Westminster University and is funded entirely by public donations.
Sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who made the day so successful.
