I Often write about anything remotely socialist, which must be rotten, bad or just plain no good – something I obviously disagree with.
So I wonder what people make of the latest Western drugs cheat, Lance Armstrong, an athlete I once admired.
Years ago, the old Eastern Block countries were often vilified for drug cheats whenever they won at the Olympics and who am I to disagree?
It would seem the West have more than their fair share, though, with the latest US athlete accused of “the most sophisticated doping programme, that sport has ever seen”.
It would seem some American sportsmen have historically had problems in modern sport, but I hope this doesn’t sound like another round of Uncle Sam bashing.
I’d love to hear readers’ comments in regards to the two connected drug issues I’ve raised.
Perhaps my earlier point that there is good and bad in all is, after all, a small possibility?
PS Just don’t mention the Ryder Cup!
