A HOUSE in Woodstock Road, Charlbury, was broken into by would-be burglars. Offenders entered the property between 7.30am and 6.40pm on Wednesday.
An untidy search was carried out after entry was forced at the rear of the house, where windows had been damaged.
It is not known if anything was stolen.
Pc Lisa Chapman, from Witney police station, said: “It seems the offender was at the house for some time trying to gain entry.
“It is possible that someone may have seen the offender in the area.
“If you saw any suspicious activity at the time, please contact me via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101.”
