PEOPLE in Blackbird and Greater Leys have a real opportunity to help shape the future of their estate.
It may not seem the most enticing prospect at this time of year, but it is important.
Oxford City Council has shown real intent by joining forces with the Prince’s Foundation to drive through a programme of improvements.
But what the people of the Leys have to consider is who knows what their community needs best?
Without doing them down, is it very well meaning people from the council and the foundation?
Or is it those of you who know the estate inside out?
At the risk of lighting another debate, there are the odd voices on the Leys who question why the new pool should be situated there and perhaps those voices should have been heard during that particular decision-making process.
The Leys is your area. So make it as you want it.
