The teenager who died in a road accident at Drayton, near Abingdon, on Sunday has been named by police as Jesse Smith, 17, from Chesham, Bucks.

Mr Smith, who was a passenger in a red Ford Sierra, suffered serious injuries and died in the John Radcliffe Hospital early Monday morning.

Three people arrested following the incident involving two cars have been released on police bail pending further inquiries. The men, aged 18 and 25 and a 15-year-old youth, have been bailed to return to Abingdon police station on January 4. They were detained by police following the crash in Abingdon Road, Drayton near Crabtree Lane at about 11pm on Sunday night.

A second person who died in a road accident in Oxfordshire on Sunday has been named as Christopher Gough, 38 from Swindon. He died when the car in which he was travelling crashed in Coxwell Road, Faringdon. Another badly injured occupant was taken to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
