THE HUNT is on to find the owner of a bird a prey which swooped into a garden on Monday afternoon.
Tilly Kirchhoff, from Wheatley, spotted what she believes to be a Harris Hawk flapping around in her back garden and with the help of her father spent the next two hours trying to catch it.
Now Ms Kirchhoff is hoping to reunite the bird - which is brown in colour and has bells attached to its feet - with its owner.
She said: "It took us several hours to catch it and now we just want to get it back to its handler. I must admit I was a bit frightened when I first saw it, because if you look on the web it can eat all sorts of animals."
