A GREEN Amazon parrot, lost and given sanctuary by a Kidlington man, has been reunited with its owner.
The bird, which is called Simon, landed on Spencer Terry's shoulder last week, disorientated and confused.
It joined Mr Terry's other pet parrots - Alf and Charlie - and Buster the Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
But it took a while for Simon to settle in to his new surroundings, trashing the bathroom that became his temporary home.
However, after being reunited with its owners, who did not wish to be named for fear of the bird being stolen, it did not have to travel far - because they also live in Kidlington.
The relieved owner said: "We are ever so grateful to Mr Terry for looking after our parrot so well.
