CHILDREN have been asked to come up with a winning poster for an anti-speed campaign.
Pupils in Woodstock have the chance of seeing their design become a sign on a street near them thanks to a competition organised by Woodstock Neighbourhood Action Group.
Winners of the competition, which has been organised to coincide with Road Safety week taking place next week, will also win a £30 WHSmith voucher. Runners-up will get a £20 voucher.
PC David Tustian, Woodstock neighbourhood co-ordinator, said: "This is a great opportunity for pupils to get involved and really think about road safety and the dangers of speeding.
"The three winning designs will be used to highlight the dangers of speeding not only to other school children but also to adults."
There are three categories: five to seven-years-old, seven to 11, and 11 to 14.
Entries, which should be A4 size and in colour, must be in by noon on Friday, December 8, and should be sent to: Danielle Hanton, Partnership Communications Officer, West Oxfordshire District Council Offices, Woodgreen, Witney, Oxon, OX28 1NB.
