Straight-talking fashion experts Trinny and Susannah didn't beat around the bush when they dished out style advice to three Oxford Mail readers yesterday.
Nicky Farmer, 54, who won our contest with Nescafe to have a consultation with the TV duo, learnt the tricks of the trade to dress for her shape and age.
Mrs Farmer, from Chiltern View, Little Milton, and her friends Carol Lavender and Carmel Cooney were treated to the exclusive visit at Malmaison hotel in the new castle complex in Oxford.
Trinny scorned Mrs Farmer for wearing clothes which were too old-fashioned and big for her, which made her look "like a granny".
She said: "I would like to see you in some floaty trousers, which are good for the tummy. You would suit autumnal colours and could do with getting rid of your fringe."
Susannah urged our winner to make a feature of her glasses, and opt for a trendy bob haircut.
She added: "Have the courage to make a few changes and you will look more youthful."
And Mrs Farmer's friends did not escape a word from the acid-tongued pair.
Susannah encouraged Mrs Lavender to show off a bit more cleavage, while Mrs Cooney was warned off mixing black with coloured items, as it "cheapens" the look.
Mrs Farmer said: "They were so lovely. We've all had a really great time."
